Hi, I am David McQueen and welcome to SIMPHANI WORLDWIDE.

Fans of music will know that symphony means “sounding together”. It is an orchestral work of a serious nature and substantial in size - usually in four movements. This gave birth to the idea of SIMPHANI. A sounding together of people of African descent across the four corners of the globe. Substantial in size and a powerful resource for its audience.

SIMPHANI WORLWIDE is a platform for voices of culture, literature, the arts, education and enterprise related to the global black experience. Our aim is to capture the experiences of the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, North America and Canada, and the less reported areas of South America, Asia and Australasia.

The project is the first phase of a larger platform for dialogue and will include profiles, essays, interviews, podcasts, videocasts and links to the richness in the diaspora.

This is great. The time is come to mend the bridges that have been divided by the atrocities that have been afflected upon us. The world wide web offers the global black community a unique opportunity to communicate to all of our brethren and sisters globally. One voice, one sound!
